  • COOK WITH THE GRAND CUISINE SURROUND INDUCTION ZONE using a round-bottomed pan and you’ll wonder how you ever managed without it. Evenly dispersed heat helps prevent ingredients from burning. Stir-frying this way is healthier because it uses less oil. But this method can also be used for steaming, deep-frying, poaching, boiling, searing, stewing or even making soup. Almost anything you can do with a conventional flat-bottomed pan you can do even better with surround induction and an eastern-style round-bottomed pan.

    RISOTTO WITH PEAS

    Another Italian classic – steam the peas in a saucepan with stock

    and chopped onion, puree half of it then slowly add the puree and

    stock to the rice. The Surround Induction Zone is ideal for this

    – risotto needs to be given time to soak up the stock little by little.
